Badung, Eyewitness | Following the escalation of conflict in the Middle East and the closure of several airspaces (Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, and Iran), here is the latest update regarding flight impacts at Bali Airport as of March 1, 2026:
Affected Flights:
As of 01:00 AM, 5 major international flights are impacted:

• Qatar Airways (QR963 & QR961)
• Emirates (EK369 & EK399)
What Immigration is doing:
According to the Head of Ngurah Rai Immigration, Bugie Kurniawan, To ensure everything stays smooth at the airport, Ngurah Rai Immigration has activated several emergency measures:
• Extra Staff: More officers are stationed at arrivals and departures to handle potential queues.
• Coordination: Working closely with airlines and airport authorities (Angkasa Pura I) regarding rerouting and schedule changes.
• Real-time Monitoring: Keeping a close eye on global flight data and routes.
• Overstay Contingency: They are specifically preparing to assist foreign nationals who might overstay their visas due to these forced flight cancellations.
Note: If you or someone you know is affected by these cancellations, rest assured that immigration services remain operational and are working to handle administrative processes according to procedure. Stay safe and keep checking your flight status!

Important Notice for International Travelers
For passengers whose stay permit (visa) is nearly expired or has already expired due to the current flight emergency situation, please immediately report to the Immigration Office or the Immigration Service Post at the airport for further guidance. Handling of these cases will be carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, taking into account the force majeure conditions caused by international flight disruptions.

Immigration ensures that every case will be handled professionally and proportionally, while maintaining the principles of legal certainty and public service.
”We urge all prospective international passengers, especially those on Middle East transit routes, to regularly check their flight status through the official apps of their respective airlines and coordinate with the airlines before heading to the airport,” stated Bugie.
