Denpasar – The Denpasar City Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Leonardo David Simatupang, accompanied by the Chairperson of the Denpasar Bhayangkari branch, led the distribution of iftar snacks (takjil) to motorists passing the police headquarters. The event continued with a formal donation ceremony for orphans and a communal fast-breaking meal involving youth organizations (OKP) and high-ranking police officials.
Held at the Baitul Amanah Prayer Room, the initiative aimed to foster closer ties between the police, youth groups, and the public. It also sought to strengthen synergy in maintaining public order and security (Kamtibmas) throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
During the gathering, Commissioner Simatupang personally greeted the orphans and engaged in a warm dialogue with youth representatives. The program concluded with a congregational Maghrib prayer followed by a dinner in a collegial atmosphere.Denpasar Chief Police giving takjil on the street of denpasar
In his remarks, the Police Chief expressed his gratitude to the attendees for their presence. “This event serves as a platform for us to maintain a strong relationship with youth organizations in Denpasar. We ask for your continued support as we strive to provide the best service to the community,” he stated.
Addressing the upcoming holidays, he expressed hope that this year’s Eid al-Fitr, which coincides closely with the Hindu Day of Silence (Nyepi), would proceed peacefully and with high levels of mutual tolerance. He emphasized the vital role of Muslim youth organizations in Bali in ensuring local stability.
”I am opening a channel for direct communication. Please feel free to provide criticism and suggestions for our collective progress,” the Chief added, urging all parties to help maintain order in the city.
The event stands as a concrete manifestation of the National Police’s (Polri) social commitment to orphans and its strategic efforts to strengthen ties with youth elements to ensure regional stability.
