Eyewitness – Denpasar | The Bali Regional Police (Polda Bali) have officially received a report in connection with an online property related investment fraud allegedly committed by two Australian nationals named Adrian Campbell and Simon Gronow, together with an Indonesian national named Christina Natalie in connection with the luxury real estate project, Marina Bay City. The case, documented under Registration No: STPL/510/III/2026/SPKT/POLDA BALI, involves an Australian victim, Mr. Savas Oflaz who claims to have lost over AUD 113,000 (approximately Rp1.32 billion).
From Social Media to High-Pressure Sales
The victim’s ordeal began in March 2025 when he responded to a social media advertisement connected with Marina Bay City Project. After clicking on a link in the ad, Mr. Oflaz was pulled into a WhatsApp group and eventually contacted by Simon Gronow, who identified himself as a Sales Representative working for a multinational, multi-billion-dollar property development company called Kinnara Limited in which, he was told, Adrian Campbell is the CEO. When Mr. Oflaz asked Mr Gronow how Kinnara was connected with the Marina Bay City project, Mr. Gronow said that Kinnara was a partner in the Development with Jamie McIntyre and Lux Projects, and proceeded to answer Mr. Oflaz’s questions eventually sending various projected related sales materials and an offer to Mr. Oflaz.

The Transaction and Mounting Red Flags
Despite initially opting not to invest in the project based on advice from a friend who resides in Bali, the victim was eventually swayed by an unsolicited August 2025 offer communicated by Mr.Gronow for a “special” beachfront villa with a significant discount. After transfering an initial deposit as instructed by Simon Gronow, to a National Bank of Australia bank acvount opened by an Australian company named Marina Bay Lombok Pty. Ltd.Mr Oflaz subsequently was sent a contract by Kinnara which purported to be between Oflaz and Christina Natalie in her capacity as Director of PT Bali Real Estate Investment. Mr. Oflaz was also recieved an invoice in the name of PT Marina Bay Group which Mr.Oflaz had not previously heard of but later learned is controlled by Adrian Campbell send by Simon Gronow on behalf of Kinnara for the balance of AUD 112,746 and instructed to pay that amount by deposit or bank transfer into the same National Bank of Australia Bank Account that he had paid the deposit into.
After paying the invoice as instructed, he digitally signed the contract he had been sent, using an application called Docusign as instructed, and in due course received a copy of the contract digitally signed by Christina Natalie as well as a written receipt acknowledging payment in full issued in the named of PT. Marina Bay Group.
In other words, Mr. Oflaz thought he was investing in a project with Jamie McIntyre and Lux Projects but after making enquiries, he alleges that he was manipulated by the individuals he reported to Bali police into doing business companies unknown to him under false pretences.
The Fallout: Blame Shifting and Blocking
The scheme began to unravel in late 2025 when Adrian Campbell and Kinnara publicly announced they had exited the Marina Bay City project by selling out their stake to a company controlled by Australian businessman Jamie McIntyre. A period of “internal conflict” followed, characterized by mutual accusations. Adrian Campbell (Kinnara) publicly claimed that Jamie McIntyre had “stolen” the investors money and insisted the funds were in McIntyre’s possession. For his part, Jamie McIntyre explained to investors that Kinnara was never a party to the Marina Bay City development and that PT. Marina Bay Investments, the company set up as the project developer, PT Bali Real Estate Investments, and Lux Projects have never received morethen a relatively small part of the millions of dollars raised from investors by Kinnara without lawful right and in a manner that violated Indonesian law.

When confronted by Mr. Oflaz in March 2026, McIntyre again denied any agency agreement with Kinnara or Campbell. He further alleged that the electronic signature of Christana Natalie was used without the company’s knowledge and that the funds transferred to the Australian account were never transferred to him or to any company controlled by him or connected with the development. He also explained, that despite repeated formal requests by his Indonesian lawyers being sent to Kinnara and Adrian Campbell for full disclosure of all bank issued records pertaining to the account Mr. Oflaz paid his money into, to date, neither Kinnara nor Adrian McIntyre have replied. His overwhelming message to Adrian Campbell can be paraphrased as “show us the money!”
When Mr. Oflaz demanded proof of funds transfers to Jamie McIntyre or any company directly associated with the project by Kinnara or Adrian Campbell, Mr. Campbell reportedly blocked him from a WhatsApp group Mr. Campbell set up to keep investors informed and which he used to repeatedly blame Jamie McIntyre for the disappearance of investors’ money, stating that information would only be available to Mr. Oflaz through public updates.
Legal Action
Faced with a total loss of Rp1,327,730,719, the victim has formally requested the Cyber Crime Directorate of the Bali Police to investigate the matter as a criminal act of online fraud.
