Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park played host to the “Road to Maybank Marathon” event today, Saturday, June 13, 2026. The event serves as part of a pre-event series leading up to the Maybank Marathon, an international-scale running event scheduled to return to Bali on August 23, 2026. The series features light training and group running sessions, offering participants an opportunity to condition themselves physically while fostering a consistent exercise habit ahead of the main marathon.

GWK Cultural Park is part of the Alam Sutera Group, which operates under the vision of providing spaces that enhance human quality of life. In line with this vision, the GWK Cultural Park area is utilized not only as a tourist destination and event venue, but has also become a popular spot for the local community to exercise in both the mornings and evenings. Backed by well-managed administration, the area provides a safe and comfortable environment for physical activities.

“We warmly welcome this collaboration for the Road to Maybank Marathon. We hope activities like this can offer positive experiences and embed sports into daily culture, ultimately leading to a better quality of life,” said Ch. Rossie Andriani. The collaboration is expected to provide added value for participants and the running community, while simultaneously opening up avenues for various community activities that support the creation of a sports ecosystem and healthy lifestyle within public spaces.
