The Ngurah Rai Class I Special Immigration Office officially held a soft opening for its new Immigration Lounge at Discovery Mall Bali on Wednesday (July 8, 2026).
The inauguration was led directly by the Head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, highlighting the agency’s commitment to making immigration services more accessible to the public.
​This Immigration Lounge marks the very first mall-based immigration service facility in Bali. Its establishment serves as a strategic move to bring public services directly into community hubs, particularly in the Kuta area, allowing residents and tourists alike to manage their immigration paperwork with greater ease, flexibility, and convenience.
A wide array of immigration services is available at the lounge, including the issuance of Indonesian Passports, Visitor Stay Permits, Limited Stay Permits (KITAS), Permanent Stay Permits (KITAP), and Golden Visa services. The Immigration Lounge operates Monday through Friday (regular business days) from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM WITA.
​By embedding the service center within Discovery Mall Bali, visitors can handle their immigration needs while seamlessly enjoying the mall’s shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
Furthermore, Discovery Mall Bali boasts a unique advantage: its direct connection to Kuta Beach. This allows visitors to enjoy coastal views and watch daily sunset Kecak dance performances, effectively merging bureaucratic errands with travel and leisure. This concept is expected to pave the way for a more modern, practical, and customer-oriented public service experience.
The presence of the Immigration Lounge also offers a practical solution for locals and tourists—especially those residing in Kuta and North Kuta—eliminating the need to travel all the way to the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in Jimbaran for specific immigration services.
​The Head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Bugie Kurniawan, stated that the launch of the Immigration Lounge is part of a broader transformation effort to prioritize accessibility and elevate service quality for the public.

Its presence is designed not only to provide easy access, but also to deliver a faster, more comfortable, and higher-quality service experience.
