Welcoming the 25th anniversary of the Democratic Party in August 2026, the Gianyar Regency Branch (DPC) held a community event themed “Blue Sky, Beautiful Indonesia” at Lembeng Beach, Sukawati, Gianyar. The event was led by the Chairman of the Bali Provincial Board (DPD), I Made Mudarta, and the Chairman of the Gianyar Regency Branch, Tjokorda Gede Asmara Putra Sukawati—famously known as Cok Asmara—alongside Democratic Party Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR-RI), Tutik Kusuma Wardani.

Lembeng Beach was selected as the venue for the party’s Silver Jubilee celebration, featuring a beach cleanup, the release of sea turtle hatchlings (tukik), and traditional community games (Lomba Rakyat) attended by over 200 Democratic Party members and cadres from across Gianyar Regency.
Opening the event, Cok Asmara emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation and solidarity.
”Brothers and sisters, today we gather not merely for ceremonial purposes, but with a spirit of service to protect our beloved Earth and preserve the environment passed down by our ancestors for future generations,” said Cok Asmara. “For the Balinese people, protecting nature is not just a social obligation, but a core value of Tri Hita Karana—maintaining harmony between humans and God, among fellow humans, and between humans and nature. Today, we want to show the nation that politics is not always about competition, but about real actions that benefit the broader public.”

During the event, more than 300 hatchlings were released into the waters of Lembeng Beach, and hundreds of plastic trash bags were collected. The afternoon continued with traditional games, including tug-of-war, wooden clogs races (bakiak), sack races, and duck-chasing contests.
Bali DPD Chairman I Made Mudarta told reporters that beach cleanups were being carried out simultaneously across 514 regencies and cities nationwide as a tribute to the homeland.
“Releasing these protected hatchlings helps preserve Lembeng Beach’s ecosystem. It reflects our commitment to nature and the Creator,” Mudarta added. “The Creator bestowed the deep blue sea, matching the blue flag of the Democratic Party. We pray the party continues to fly high across these blue skies.”

Echoing these sentiments, DPR-RI Member Tutik Kusuma Wardani urged cadres to stay grounded and connected with the public.
“As we approach our Silver Jubilee, let us draw closer to the people and listen to their aspirations,” Tutik stated. “This aligns with our General Chairman’s message: we must always stay close to the people so we remain trusted friends in their hearts.”
The event concluded with music and group dances involving all Gianyar Democratic Party cadres along the shore of Lembeng Beach.
