The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office deported 12 foreign nationals (WNA) for violating immigration rules in Bali between October 13–23, 2026. Ten foreigners were deported for misusing their stay permits for marketing activities in the tourism sector, including villa rentals, while the other five were deported for overstaying their residence permits.
These violations were uncovered through routine patrols and monitoring conducted by Ngurah Rai Immigration in the Badung Regency area. Two foreign nationals—OG from Romania and TO from the United States—were found promoting travel tours for Israeli citizens via websites and social media using Visit Stay Permits (ITK). OG was deported on October 15, 2026, while TO was deported on October 22, 2026.

Three other foreigners, RH from Slovakia and TI from Belarus (both Visa on Arrival holders), along with MVDA from the Netherlands (a Remote WorkerITAS holder), were caught working as marketing staff for the same resort company. Meanwhile, VG from Armenia (an ITK holder) and VK from Ukraine (a Remote Worker ITAS holder) were found marketing accommodations or villas through the Telegram platform.
Aside from stay permit misuse, the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office also deported five foreigners for overstaying: RA from Morocco (156 days), SMS from Tanzania (234 days), KLR from the United States (248 days), KJM from Tanzania (204 days), and VV from Ukraine, who had overstayed for 2,973 days, or more than eight years.
Head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Muhamad Novyandri, emphasized that every foreigner in Indonesia must comply with applicable stay permit provisions and immigration regulations.

“We will continue to carry out intensive immigration oversight, including through routine patrols and follow-ups on findings in the field. Every violation will be dealt with in accordance with applicable regulations as part of our commitment to maintaining order and enforcing immigration law within the Ngurah Rai Immigration working area,” Novyandri stated.
In line with the directives of the Director General of Immigration, Hendarsam Marantoko, immigration oversight must deliver a tangible impact on public safety and community interests. Through the spirit of “Imigrasi untuk Rakyat” (Immigration for the People), the Directorate General of Immigration remains committed to strict law enforcement to maintain order, protect national interests, and create a safe and conducive tourism climate.
