DENPASAR, March 1, 2026 – To preserve the coastal ecosystem and tackle marine debris, the Bali Regional Police (Polda Bali), in collaboration with local government agencies and community groups, conducted a massive cleanup at Padang Galak Beach on Sunday.
The initiative was attended by a high-profile delegation, including Bali Governor Dr. Ir. Wayan Koster, Pangdam IX/Udayana Maj. Gen. Piek Budyakto, and Bali Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya. They were joined by military personnel, police officers, community leaders, and local students.
The primary objective was to clear plastic waste and pollutants from the shoreline to protect marine life and ensure the sustainability of Bali’s tourism industry on the global stage.

Bali Police Spokesperson, Police Commissioner Ariasandy, stated that the event follows a verbal directive from President Prabowo Subianto and serves as a realization of the “Indonesia ASRI” (Safe, Healthy, Clean, and Beautiful) Movement.
”Through this activity, we hope to foster a culture where coastal cleanliness becomes a daily habit. The synergy between the government, military, police, and the public is key to maintaining Bali as a clean and sustainable national tourism showcase,” Ariasandy said.
He added that the movement is part of a larger, systematic effort to address waste management issues in Bali through consistent and sustainable action.
