Eyewitness – Denpasar
The Bali Regional Police (Polda Bali) have intensified their investigation into the brutal mutilation of Ukrainian national Igor Komarov (29), whose remains were recently discovered at Ketewel Beach. In a press conference held to provide updates on the case, Bali Police Chief, Brigadier General Daniel Aditya accompanied with Director of General Criminal Investigator ( Direskrimum), Senior Police Commisioner I Gede Adhi Mulyawarman announced that five additional foreign nationals have been identified as suspects, bringing the total number of wanted individuals to seven.
Coordination and Evidence
The identification follows a rigorous Scientific Crime Investigation involving witness testimonies, immigration records, and close coordination with Interpol and the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo).
Forensic teams conducted sweeps across six different crime scenes located in villas spanning four regencies: Gianyar, Tabanan, Badung, and Denpasar. Evidence suggests a highly organized operation, ranging from the initial plotting and surveillance to the disposal of evidence and the eventual murder and mutilation of the victim.
Surveillance and Abduction
CCTV footage captured the suspects conducting surveillance on Komarov’s villa on February 25, 28, and 29, 2026. The perpetrators reportedly utilized two different cars—rented using forged passports—as well as automatic motorcycles.
A security guard at a villa in the Jimbaran area provided a key testimony, describing an ambush where the victim was intercepted and forced into a vehicle. While one of the victim’s companions managed to escape the scene, Komarov was taken to a villa where investigators later discovered significant bloodstains. Similar forensic evidence was found inside the vehicles used by the suspects.
International Manhunt
Following a formal case review, the police have designated the seven suspects as fugitives on the Department of Wanted Persons (DPO) list. Authorities believe the group fled Indonesia shortly after the crime.
The seven suspects, now subjects of Interpol coordination across four different nations, are identified by their initials:

• SA (Kazakhstan)
• DH (Ukraine)
• RB (Kazakhstan)
• Y (Nigeria)
”Through collaboration with International Immigration authorities and the National Police Interpol Sub-Intelligence unit, we have successfully tracked the current locations of these fugitives,” Brig. Gen. Daniel Adhitya stated.
