April 2, 2026 – InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a world-class tourism destination by strengthening security and safety protocols. At The Nusa Dua, ITDC officially handed over maritime patrol equipment to the Water Police (Satpolairud) at the The Nusa Dua Post in Wantilan, Bali, on Thursday (2/4).
The assistance package includes one rubber patrol boat, one outboard motor, and five life jackets. This initiative is part of a strategic collaboration between ITDC and Satpolairud to bolster security, public order, and safety within the maritime zone, particularly along the coastline of The Nusa Dua.
The handover ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Chief of Denpasar City Police (Kapolresta), the Head of Satpolairud, and the Chief of South Kuta Police, alongside various maritime patrol and law enforcement units. Their presence underscores the cross-sectoral support essential for safeguarding one of Indonesia’s premier national tourism assets.

Troy Warokka, Director of Operations at ITDC, emphasized that the unique characteristics of The Nusa Dua—an integrated international resort area with a four-kilometer coastline and strategic locations like Peninsula Island and Nusa Dharma—demand high-intensity monitoring due to the frequent interaction between tourist activities and the water.
”Given these conditions, the need for a rapid response in maritime security and safety is paramount. Our collaboration with Satpolairud is a strategic step to ensure the area remains secure and conducive for all visitors,” Warokka stated.

This initiative serves as a preventive measure to minimize potential maritime accidents and security breaches. With more adequate patrol facilities, surveillance in the coastal areas is expected to become more optimal, enhancing the speed and effectiveness of risk response.
Furthermore, strengthening the security system is integral to maintaining The Nusa Dua’s reputation as a world-class destination that prioritizes visitor comfort and safety. ITDC maintains that security is the fundamental foundation for creating a safe, comfortable, and sustainable travel experience.
Following the handover ceremony, a joint maritime patrol was conducted, starting from the Quicksilver Pier in Tanjung Benoa. This patrol symbolized the practical implementation of the synergy between destination management and security forces in maintaining regional stability.
”Security supported by robust infrastructure is key to delivering a world-class destination. We will continue to strengthen our collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the area remains safe, orderly, and provides the best possible experience for tourists,” Warokka added.
Through this initiative, ITDC not only reinforces its internal security framework but also asserts its role in supporting the development of high-quality, safe, and globally competitive national tourism.
