
<span;>BADUNG – In commemoration of the 54th anniversary of the National Search and Rescue Agency (BASARNAS), the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office held a humanitarian action in the form of blood donations and free health checks, Monday (2/2/2026) at the 3rd Floor Multipurpose Room, Werkudara Building. This activity, which took place full of enthusiasm, was a real manifestation of BASARNAS’ social synergy and concern for others. Not only in Bali, similar activities are also carried out simultaneously by BASARNAS throughout Indonesia.
<span;>Apart from the involvement of internal personnel, there was also participation from related stakeholders who have been strategic partners in search and rescue operations including Brimob, Bali Regional Police Air Police, South Kuta Police, AirNav, Badung BPBD, Bali Provincial BPBD, Disnav, TNI AU, Immigration Ditention Center, FKP3D Bali. The success of the activity cannot be overlooked by the large contribution of the Bali Province Blood Donation Unit (UDD). This action succeeded in attracting the attention of many volunteers. Based on committee data, as many as 90 people registered to donate blood. After going through a strict medical screening process, 61 bags of blood were collected and then distributed to people in need through PMI.

<span;>In comprehensive health services, not only focusing on blood donations, on this occasion health examinations are also held including: general health examinations, eye health examinations, Pap smear examinations for women as an effort to early detect cervical cancer.
<span;>Head of the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office, I Noman Sidakarya, really appreciates the enthusiasm of blood donors and the support of several parties. At the end of the activity, I Nyoman Sidakarya handed over a certificate of appreciation to representatives from PMI and the Badung Regency Population Control, Family Planning, Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Service. According to him, this activity is a reflection of the spirit of service of BASARNAS which has reached more than half a century and is a real manifestation of the commitment of the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office in maintaining human values. Not only carrying out tasks in the field of search and rescue, the presence of BASARNAS needs to be aimed at social contributions that directly touch aspects of public health.

<span;>Externally, the existence of cross-sectoral activities like today is expected to strengthen collaboration between agencies in the humanitarian sector, creating a solid coordination ecosystem not only in field operations, but also in community social service. (ay/hmsdps)
