Bali Empathy School has officially reaffirmed its long-term commitment to its students, families, and the broader alternative education community in Bali.

The statement was issued in response to recent public discussions surrounding administrative and regulatory challenges faced by the learning community.

​Management emphasized that daily teaching and learning activities continue to operate normally. The school ensures that students remain in a child-centered, project-based learning environment—a holistic, evidence-based educational model chosen by parents from the outset.

Strategic Steps Toward Independent Licensing

​What began as a 1homeschooling community during the Covid-19 pandemic is now undergoing a rapid transformation. To date, official student registration has been seamlessly facilitated through legitimate, formally licensed educational partners.

​Empathy School is currently working closely with relevant educational authorities to finalize its independent operational license ahead of the 2026–2027 academic year.

This strategic move is designed to enable Empathy School to issue official diplomas recognized directly by the Indonesian Government in the future.

For Indonesian families, this process is expected to streamline student enrollment. For the time being, students requiring official credentials will continue to receive them through existing partnership channels.

​”Nothing has changed in the children’s day-to-day experience,” said Abi Ardianda, Communication Officer at Empathy.

“Our classrooms remain spaces of curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and joy. We believe academic excellence is vital, but academics alone are not enough to prepare children for a successful and meaningful life.”

Clarification on Public Misinformation

​In response to circulating speculations, Empathy School is using this momentum to clarify several public misconceptions regarding its affiliations and educational references.

Through this official release, Empathy confirms the following points:

• ​Founder’s Qualifications: The founder of Empathy School is a graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

• ​Curriculum: In the past, the school has aligned its academic standards with the Cambridge curriculum framework, and some students have opted to sit for Cambridge examinations.

• ​Teaching Methodology: Montessori-inspired methods form part of their hybrid learning approach.

• ​Team Training: The leadership and teaching faculty have participated in training sessions organized through the Stanford Seed program, both in-person and online.

Eric Gonzalez, Founder of Empathy, shared his perspective on the core essence of the institution.

“We care deeply about academic success. However, we also believe children must learn how to collaborate, understand others, and understand themselves.These human skills are just as essential for life as academic achievements.”
