A solemn yet festive atmosphere enveloped the Puputan Margarana Field in Renon, Denpasar, this morning. The Bali Regional Police (Polda Bali) held a ceremony to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Bhayangkara Day, marked by profound gratitude and a steadfast commitment to maintaining public order and security across the Island of the Gods.
The official ceremony was led directly by the Chief of Bali Regional Police, Police Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya, S.H., S.I.K., M.Si., who served as the Inspector of the Ceremony.
This historic event was attended by members of the Bali Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), religious figures, community leaders, and other distinguished guests. The presence of these regional leaders underscores the solid solidarity and synergy between the National Police (Polri), the local government, and all elements of Balinese society in preserving security stability.
Following the solemn parade, the event proceeded with a thanksgiving procession held directly on the grounds of Renon Field, marking a milestone of gratitude for Polri’s 80 years of dedication
The Bali Police Chief carried out the traditional tumpeng (cone-shaped rice platter) cutting ceremony. The first slices were symbolically presented to the Governor of Bali, Dr. Ir. Wayan Koster, M.M., and the Commander of Military Regional Command (Pangdam) IX/Udayana, Major General Piek Budyakto, S.H., M.H., witnessed by all members of the Bali Forkopimda. This tradition symbolizes gratitude, humility, and prayers that the police force particularly the Bali Regional Police will always be granted smooth operations, safety, and blessings in executing their state duties.
The excitement of the 80th Bhayangkara Day reached its peak when the Renon grounds were transformed into a stage showcasing the force’s strength and creativity through a military-style defile. Attendees were treated to a captivating performance by the police-sponsored marching band, which played patriotic anthems with synchronized and dynamic formations.
Equally drawing public attention was the parade of official police vehicles moving in neat formation during the procession. The display ranged from cutting-edge tactical vehicles (rantis) and traffic patrol fleets to operational vehicles from various specialized units, including the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) and the Marine and Air Police (Polairud).
This vehicular defile was more than just an exhibition; it delivered a clear message to the public regarding the readiness of the Bali Regional Police’s infrastructure in securing and safeguarding all community activities and tourism in Bali.
The successful execution of the 80th Bhayangkara Day Ceremony serves as tangible proof of the readiness and professionalism of the Bali Regional Police personnel in serving and reflecting the theme “Polri For the Public” within the jurisdiction of Bali Province.
The commemoration at Renon Field successfully blended the solemnity of an official ceremony, the warmth of a thanksgiving tradition, and the close bond between the police force and the public through an engaging and educational parade.
