Film Director, Producer and Actor ” Kota dan Segudang Masalahnya ”

According to Medy Mahasena, a producer at Satu Frekwensi Films, their latest movie “Kota dan Segudang Masalahnya” (The City and Its Myriad Problems) was crafted to engage a broad audience, particularly high school youth and the general public.

”We designed this film to be as engaging as possible, blending a romance genre set against the backdrop of Denpasar and Sanur,” Medy explained. “It addresses the pressing issues of traffic congestion and vehicle density that have recently weighed heavily on Bali, making the message easy for everyone to understand. The production also came with its own set of challenges, including heavy traffic noise, audio that had to be re-recorded multiple times, and the scorching midday sun during outdoor shoots.”

He further noted that as more Bali residents turn to public transportation as an alternative, the film aims to encourage the community to embrace it as a primary mode of transport for daily activities. The goal is to help alleviate road congestion and reduce vehicle emissions caused by heavy traffic congestion.

Meanwhile, Fadly Hamami—who stars as the male lead, Rama (One More Stop)—shared his excitement about the production with the media. He highlighted that shooting scenes both inside and outside a bus was a brand-new experience, as a significant portion of the film takes place on public transit. He expressed hope that with adequate public transport infrastructure, young people will become increasingly aware of and supportive of existing public transportation options, such as the buses in Bali.
