The Nusantara Football Journalists Community (Komunitas Jurnalis Sepak Bola Nusantara) officially launched the Kick Off Journalism Camp 2026. The football journalism training, themed “Dari Stadion Ke Ruang Redaksi” (From the Stadium to the Newsroom), featured three prominent speakers:

• ​Nandang P. Sidik

• ​M. Rais Adnan

• ​Nilmaizar

​The speakers include national football coaches, football journalists, and national sports analysts.

The opening ceremony was attended by local journalists 25 jourrnalist in Bali, alongside Ketut Jagra Sunu from the General Secretariat, representing Giri Prasta as the Chairman of the National Sports Committee (KONI) for Bali Province. In his speech, Ketut Jagra Sunu emphasized the crucial role of sports journalists—particularly those covering football in Bali—in delivering responsible reporting that accurately reflects matches from kickoff to the final whistle.

​”As KONI Bali, we hold high hopes that football journalists in Bali can foster public interest in reading, watching, and listening to news across the archipelago to advance national football. Congratulations on the training, and sports greetings,” he said.

The event is also supported by Askab Gianyar, represented by A.A. Gede Putra Sunjaya; the Chairman of KONI Gianyar, represented by I Gusti Ngurah Agung Jaya Negara; and the CEO of Bali United, represented by Gerald Michael.

On the other hand, the Head of the Bali Football Journalists Community, Diviyanta Vayantri Dewi, raised concerns regarding coverage access. She argued that the current requirement of a minimum of two years of experience should be eased to give journalists more opportunities to observe on- and off-pitch developments in detail.

​”Secondly, we need to minimize bureaucratic restrictions for football journalists while maintaining professional accountability,” Divi explained.

Key speakers Nandang P. Sidik and M. Rais Adnan outlined the core objectives of the workshop. The training aims to help journalists understand the regulations and procedures of official competitions, familiarize themselves with stadium work areas, produce accurate, high-quality, and ethical content, build professional networks within the football ecosystem, and acquire exclusive information ethically.

​”Equally important is club accreditation and approval. Every club reserves the right to grant accreditation approval to journalists via the PT LIB system. Once approved, the club will issue the media credentials or ID cards for match coverage,” Nandang explained.

Nandang also shared key insights on how journalists can secure exclusive news. He emphasized that reporters must build professional networks both inside and outside the pitch. Journalists are also required to attend training sessions to observe player development, fitness, and tactical strategies ahead of a match.

​”Do not forget to maintain communication with coaches and players through a polite, professional approach. Building trust opens up opportunities to secure compelling information for football reporting,” Nandang concluded.
