Eyewitness – BALI, INDONESIA
30 June 2026
A spokesperson for LUX Property Group says the company has been forced to engage significant security personnel and implement extensive protective measures for its founder, staff, contractors, and business operations amid what it describes as a coordinated campaign designed to destroy the company, seize control of its projects, and divert its clients.
According to the spokesperson, the threats became so serious that enquiries were made with the Australian Federal Police regarding protection and assistance following alleged threats, intimidation, harassment, and interference directed at company founder Jamie McIntyre, members of his family, and LUX Property Group staff.

The spokesperson said the security concerns escalated significantly after multiple incidents in which groups of individuals allegedly attended Jamie McIntyre’s private residence in Bali.
“The situation became serious enough that substantial additional security personnel had to be engaged,” the spokesperson said.
“Groups of thugs were allegedly sent to Mr. McIntyre’s Bali residence on multiple occasions. Combined with ongoing threats, harassment, intimidation, interference with staff, and attempts to disrupt company operations, it became necessary to significantly increase security measures to protect Mr. McIntyre, his family, company personnel, and company assets.”
According to the spokesperson, more than a dozen security personnel have been engaged over recent months as a result of the escalating situation.
“This has gone far beyond a commercial dispute,” the spokesperson said.
“What we are witnessing appears to be a coordinated effort to destroy a company, intimidate its staff, interfere with its clients, seize control of valuable assets, damage reputations, and ultimately take over projects developed by LUX Property Group.”
The dispute centres on the former Marina Bay City development in Lombok, Indonesia, which was taken over by LUX Property Group in late 2025 and subsequently rebranded as Nesara Bay City.
According to the spokesperson, LUX Property Group possesses documentary evidence demonstrating that the MarinaBayCity.com domain was originally registered on behalf of LUX Property Group through one of its long-standing contractors and that ownership evidence has already been provided to legal representatives and authorities.

The spokesperson further stated that Jamie McIntyre is the owner of the Marina Bay City trademark and that substantial documentary evidence exists supporting LUX Property Group’s ownership of the project’s associated digital assets.
“LUX Property Group has evidence of the original domain registration, evidence of ownership, evidence of communications acknowledging that ownership, and evidence that the domain was only ever handed to third parties temporarily for administrative purposes,” the spokesperson said.
“Despite repeated demands for its return, the website remains under the control of third parties and is allegedly being used to divert traffic and prospective clients away from the legitimate project and towards competing developments.”
The spokesperson said the company believes this forms part of a broader strategy to create confusion among investors and clients while benefiting competing projects.
The company also alleges that individuals associated with the dispute have repeatedly contacted LUX Property Group clients, encouraging them to abandon LUX developments and instead purchase into alternative projects while falsely claiming an ongoing association with Marina Bay City.

According to the spokesperson, some staff members, particularly female staff, have allegedly been subjected to intimidation, harassment, pressure, extortion attempts, and efforts to obtain confidential company information.
The company further alleges that confidential business documents and client databases were improperly obtained and subsequently used against the company.
A central issue, according to LUX Property Group, concerns investor funds paid into what was promoted as an independent Australian-based transfer account controlled by a third party based in Australia.
The spokesperson stated that investors were led to believe the account operated independently for the purpose of transferring funds to the project developer. However, the company alleges that millions of dollars paid by investors never reached the project developer.
“Investors are asking a very simple question,” the spokesperson said.
“If the money was paid for Marina Bay City, why did so much of it allegedly never reach the project developer?”
The spokesperson further stated that investors and investigators have raised concerns regarding the third party’s alleged connections to the GIM Trading matter, which became the subject of extensive scrutiny after approximately $23 million allegedly disappeared from investors.

According to the spokesperson, evidence gathered by investors suggests that the third party may not have been acting as an independent party as represented but may instead have been connected to individuals involved in attempts to gain control of Marina Bay City, its projects, and its client base. These allegations have not been determined by any court.
The spokesperson said affected investors increasingly believe the same network of individuals involved in disputes surrounding Marina Bay City may also have been involved in other controversial investment schemes that resulted in substantial investor losses.
LUX Property Group also alleges that a coordinated public relations campaign has been conducted against the company and its founder through negative media coverage, online publications, social media activity, spam campaigns targeting clients, and repeated complaints lodged with authorities.
According to the spokesperson, an ex parte Federal Court order obtained in Australia was followed by what the company describes as an extensive media and public relations offensive targeting Jamie McIntyre and LUX Property Group.
The company alleges the timing effectively prevented Mr. McIntyre from publicly responding to many of the allegations being circulated while the public relations campaign was underway.
“The sequence of events raises serious questions,” the spokesperson said.
“Investors are entitled to ask whether the objective was to obtain a one-sided court order, launch a coordinated public relations campaign, damage reputations, undermine confidence in the project, and assist competing interests seeking to benefit from the destruction of LUX Property Group.”
The spokesperson also alleged that individuals connected to the dispute have trespassed onto LUX Property Group property, recorded video footage without permission, and distributed that content across social media, investor groups, WhatsApp groups, and online platforms as part of what the company describes as a broader campaign of harassment and reputational damage.
Despite the ongoing dispute, LUX Property Group says the Nesara Bay City development continues to advance under its management, with planning approvals, land acquisitions, rezoning applications, infrastructure planning, and development preparations continuing.
The spokesperson said the company has cooperated extensively with authorities in both Indonesia and Australia and has provided documentation relating to investor complaints, financial transactions, project ownership, digital asset ownership, and matters associated with the former Marina Bay City project.
The spokesperson further stated that Australian authorities have been provided information regarding the broader dispute and allegations surrounding investor funds, while Indonesian authorities continue to receive information from affected investors and other complainants.
Several affected investors are reportedly considering legal action in Australia and Indonesia as they seek to recover funds they allege were diverted away from the project.
The spokesperson concluded that while substantial resources have been spent defending the company, protecting staff, and responding to attacks, LUX Property Group remains focused on completing developments and supporting investors.
“We will continue building, continue cooperating with authorities, continue assisting affected investors, and continue pursuing every legal avenue available to recover assets and hold responsible parties accountable,” the spokesperson said.
“The truth eventually catches up with everyone.”
