The Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration in Bali, Felucia Sengky Ratna, officially inaugurated the Immigration Socialization event under the “Immigration Goes To Village” program on Monday (04/05).
Held at the Four Star by Trans Hotel, the initiative is designed to foster awareness and provide direct immigration literacy at the village level.
During her opening remarks, Felucia emphasized that the distribution of foreign nationals in Bali has now reached various rural areas across several regencies. This shift necessitates a broader, more adaptive approach that engages the community directly.
The “Immigration Goes To Village” program serves as a strategic initiative to reach residents in South Kuta, Bangli, Gianyar, Karangasem, also Jembrana.

“This program aims to cultivate a law-abiding rural community that is protected from the potential threats of transnational crime syndicates, while ensuring they have access to transparent and accountable immigration information,” stated Felucia.
Under the theme “Agent of Change: Bringing Immigration Literacy to the Village Doorstep,” the initiative positions university students as a pivotal element. Students are expected to serve not merely as participants, but as agents of change who bridge the communication gap between immigration authorities and the public. Before being deployed to various villages, these students are equipped with a comprehensive understanding of immigration regulations. This preparation enables them to disseminate accurate information, perform early detection of stay permit violations, and assist in the monitoring of foreign nationals.
