The Bali Regional Police (Polda Bali) received a courtesy visit from the Regional Security Officer (RSO) of the United States Consulate General in Surabaya, Michael Krauss, on Thursday (3/9/2026). The visit was hosted directly by the Chief of the Bali Regional Police, Inspector General of Police Daniel Adityajaya, S.H., S.I.K., M.Si., accompanied by key officials of the Bali Regional Police.
During the meeting, Michael Krauss stated that this visit was part of an effort to strengthen ties while enhancing communication and coordination regarding the public security and order (kamtibmas) situation in Bali. This includes crime developments involving US citizens as well as security conditions in several areas that serve as major international tourist destinations.
The Bali Police Chief welcomed the visit and reaffirmed the commitment of the Bali Regional Police to maintaining tourism security. This remains a crucial priority given that Bali is a world-class tourist destination frequented by many international visitors, including those from the United States.

To support security in tourist areas, the Bali Regional Police, through the Directorate of Vital Object Protection (Ditpamobvit), has deployed personnel across various tourist spots and vital assets, as well as established police posts in several tourist zones. These steps are part of ongoing crime prevention efforts to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for both the public and tourists.

This synergy is expected to further strengthen tourism security while preserving Bali’s status as a safe, comfortable, and welcoming global tourist destination.
