Eyewitness News – POLDA BALI
03.September.2026
A major rotation of strategic leadership positions has once again taken place within the Indonesian National Police (Polri), marking a official change of command at the Bali Regional Police (Polda Bali).
The leadership transition was formalized under Telegram Letter No. ST/2205/X/KEP./2026, issued by the National Police Chief on Oct. 2, 2026.
The widespread reshuffle encompasses multiple high-level posts spanning from National Police Headquarters (Mabes Polri) to regional commands across the country.
Outgoing Bali Police Chief, Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya, has been reassigned to take on a new post at Mabes Polri. To succeed him, National Police Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto appointed a seasoned officer, Brigadier General Dr. Pasma Royce, S.I.K., M.H., to take the helm at Polda Bali.
Brig. Gen. Pasma Royce is no stranger to key operational leadership roles within the police force. He possesses a distinguished track record across various strategic regions.
In 2015, he commanded border security operations as the Nunukan Police Chief. He later managed major metropolitan law enforcement as Chief of the Surabaya City Police from Feb. 26, 2023, to Sept. 20, 2024.
His career includes a series of prominent postings, such as Deputy Chief of the Sidoarjo City Police, Director of General Crime Investigation at the Bengkulu Regional Police, Chief of the West Jakarta Metro Police, and most recently, Deputy Chief of the East Java Regional Police.
This extensive operational experience—spanning international border zones to high-density metropolitan areas—provides Brig. Gen. Pasma Royce with a strong foundation to maintain public security and order in Bali, one of the world’s premier international tourist destinations.
Police officials noted that the leadership rotation is part of the force’s periodic organizational renewal and career development initiatives, designed to optimize performance and public service delivery.
“Congratulations and good luck on your new assignment, Bali Police Chief Brigadier General Dr. Pasma Royce.”
