Following his return to Australia from Bali last week, Savaz Oflaz has been served with a Letter of Demand (Somasi) from Adrian Campbell’s Austalian solitors. The notice threatens legal action regarding allegedly defamatory statements made by Mr. Oflaz in Bale, in the course of reporting Adrian Campbell and others associated with him to Bali police.
This development follows Oflaz’s recent filing of a formal report with the Bali Regional Police (Polda Bali). Accompanied by his attorney, Ida Bagus Putu Agung, Oflaz reported an alleged online investment fraud scheme related to a luxury real estate project, Marina Bay City.
The Bali Police Public Relations Division confirmed the receipt of the official report (Registration Number: STPL/510/III/2026/SPKT/POLDA BALI). The investigation targets two Australian nationals, Adrian Campbell and Simon Gonow, along with an Indonesian citizen, Christina Natalie.

Mr.Savas Oflaz made Pressconfrences with his legal lawyer in bali on investment fraud shceme related to a luxury real estate project Marina Bay City

Oflaz, the primary complainant, claims to have lost over AUD 113,000 (approx. IDR 1.32 billion). Authorities have stated they will coordinate with the Cyber Crimes Team and the Criminal Investigation Unit to further probe the property investment scheme.
In response Adrian Campbell’s solicitors issued a formal demand to Savaz Oflaz threatening legal proceedings unless Mr. Oflaz:
1. immediately cause any and all Indonesian media outlets and any other web sites that ran news stories about his police report to remove their publications from their websites
2. immediately remove all of publications that he has made concerning Adrian Campbell and Kinnara which makes statements similar to or regarding the same factual circumstances as the publications.
3. immediately undertake to cease and desist from publishing or causing to be published any further defamatory statements against our client whether verbally or in any other form.
4. immediately publish on any websites on which the allegedly defamatory new reports published by Indonesian journalists have appeared, an unqualified correction, retraction and apology in terms acceptable to Adrian Campbell.
5. And pay the legal fees incurred by Adrian Campbell in having to respond to the publications and other publications in the sum of AUD1,750.00.

The Letter of Demand stipulates a 14-day deadline for compliance, indicating that should Oflaz fail to meet these terms, Campbell’s counsel intends to pursue a defamation lawsuit and will petition an Australian court for an injunction to halt all allegedly defamatory activities.

In other words, Mr. Campbell’s solicitors are threating to commence legal action against Mr Oflaz in connection with statements he made to Bali Police while in Bali and details given by him to Indonesian journalists who subsequently ran news items reporting for the benefit of the Indonesian public details of Mr. Oflaz’s police report.

We understand that rather than comply with the highly unusual threats made by Mr. Campbell’s Australian solicitors, Mr. Oflaz has in fact filed a further fraud complaint against him and others associated with him, with the Australin Federal Police who, we are told, are currently investigating the matter.
