Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia, Sanitiar Burhanuddin, officially inaugurated the regional (DPD) and branch (DPC) executive boards of the National Association of Village Consultative Bodies (ABPEDNAS) and the Association of Community Protection Units (ASLINMAS) across Bali Province for the 2026–2031 term at Niti Mandala Field, Denpasar, on Saturday (19/9/2026). Under the new leadership, I Komang Merta Jiwa was appointed Chairman of the Bali Provincial DPD ABPEDNAS, while I Dewa Nyoman Rai Dharmadi assumed leadership of the Bali Provincial DPD ASLINMAS.
The ceremony was attended by Bali Governor Wayan Koster, North Maluku Governor Sherly Tjoanda, Head of the Bali High Prosecution Office Setiawan Budi Cahyono, heads of district and city public prosecution offices across Bali, regents and mayors from throughout the province, the Regional Micro-Leadership Forum (Forkopimda), officials and members of ABPEDNAS and ASLINMAS from Bali and neighboring regions.
Head of the Bali High Prosecution Office, Setiawan Budi Cahyono, shared his remarks and vision following the inauguration ceremony this afternoon.
”Today marks an extraordinary synergy between the central and regional governments, creating a positive impact on security—not only locally, but for our nation as a whole,” the Bali Chief Prosecutor stated.
Several heads of the district public prosecution offices from Denpasar and Badung were also present throughout the morning until the event concluded at 11:00 AM WITA.
The initiative aims to advance, protect, and preserve rural communities and their resources, fostering local economic growth, bolstering regional security, and accelerating development initiatives across all villages.
”With the establishment of ABPEDNAS and ASLINMAS in Bali Province, these two village security apparatuses will immediately collaborate with the Bali High Prosecution Office to protect our villages and safeguard village funds distributed across the region. We will actively support, oversee, and supervise these funds to ensure they are properly allocated and fully realized. While no irregularities have been recorded thus far, any potential issues fall under the jurisdiction of regional and provincial inspectorates for resolution. The Bali High Prosecution Office prioritizes restorative justice alongside preventative measures in overseeing village funds throughout Bali Province,” the Bali Chief Prosecutor added.
