​Addressing the press, Indonesian National Police (Polri) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo officially opened the prestigious International Association of Women Police (IAWP) Training Conference at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali.
He was accompanied by several key figures, including the President of the IAWP, the Chairperson of Commission IV of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), the Patron of the Indonesian Female Police Officers (Ibu Asuh Polwan), the Deputy Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (Wamen PPPA), the Governor of Bali, the Head of the International Relations Division (Kadivhubinter Polri), and the Director of Women and Children Crimes and Human Trafficking Crimes (Dir PPA-PPO) of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri).
The international conference, attended by delegates from 43 countries, is scheduled to run for five days from September 20 to 24, 2026. The forum serves as a concrete step toward strengthening global collaboration among female police officers worldwide.
​”The International Association of Women Police (IAWP) Training Conference brings together 464 female police officers from 43 countries. Through this highly positive event, we hope to exchange information, experience, and the drive to enhance gender equality within the police force,” stated the Indonesia Police Chief.
​General Listyo Sigit further emphasized the importance of capacity building for female officers, both in terms of career development and operational duties. “This forum is expected to serve as a strategic platform to address these crucial issues, enabling female officers to become increasingly professional, adaptive, and responsive, while also sharing information, technology, and insights to meet future policing challenges,” he concluded.

​Concurrently, the 14th Senior Officer Meeting (SOM) between Polri and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) is taking place from September 20 to 22, 2026, aimed at bolstering bilateral strategic cooperation.
​Police Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya underscored that securing this global event directly impacts the nation’s reputation.
Security readiness under the code-named “Operasi Gapura Agung IV-2026” was personally verified by Bali Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya, as he led the security force roll call at the Bali Regional Police Headquarters on Friday, September 18, 2026. The assembly was attended by key division heads, the Chief of Denpasar City Police, and the Chief of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Police to ensure seamless coordination ahead of the delegates’ arrival.
