ITDC Appoints Pari Wijaya as GM of The Mandalika to Bolster Development and Investment Appeal

May 3, 2026 – InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) has officially appointed I Made Pari Wijaya as the General Manager (GM) of The Mandalika. He succeeds Agus Setiawan, who previously served as the Acting (PGS) GM. The transition was formalized during a handover ceremony at the Pullman Lombok Mandalika Beach Resort on Sunday (3/5).
​The appointment is a strategic move by the corporation to accelerate regional development while strengthening operational performance and investment attractiveness within the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

A Legacy of Infrastructure Excellence
​Agus Setiawan has been a cornerstone of ITDC since February 1, 2013, beginning his tenure at The Mandalika. Prior to his role as Acting GM, Agus served as Vice President of Project Engineering & Construction. A Civil Engineering alumnus of the University of Mataram, Agus played a pivotal role in spearheading infrastructure development and ensuring the readiness of strategic facilities across the zone.
​In his farewell remarks, Agus expressed gratitude for the collective support received during his leadership.
​”Being part of The Mandalika’s developmental journey has been an invaluable experience. I am grateful to the entire team and stakeholders who worked tirelessly to bring this region to its current stage. I am confident that under new leadership, The Mandalika will continue to flourish and contribute significantly to national tourism,” he stated.

Experienced Leadership for a Global Destination
​Pari Wijaya brings a wealth of institutional knowledge to the role, having joined ITDC on August 1, 2006. He began his career at The Nusa Dua as operational staff before ascending through several strategic positions, including Head of Planning, Head of Development, and Vice President of Operations at The Nusa Dua. Since 2019, Pari has served as the Vice President of Operations for The Mandalika, focusing on operational governance and the execution of high-profile international events within the SEZ.
​His expertise is further backed by his involvement in The Mandalika Design Committee since 2024, the BTDC-to-ITDC Transition Team in 2008, and his leadership in land resolution and the Bazaar Activation Team. Holding an Architecture degree from Udayana University, Pari possesses a comprehensive understanding of integrated tourism management.

​Upon his appointment, Pari emphasized his commitment to the zone’s future trajectory.
​”This mandate is a significant responsibility that I will uphold with full dedication. The Mandalika SEZ is a complex ecosystem that requires robust operational governance and solid collaboration with all stakeholders,” Pari noted. “Moving forward, we will enhance service quality and optimize land utilization to drive revenue growth, ensuring The Mandalika remains a competitive global destination. We also invite the community to support the development of The Mandalika as a primary engine for tourism growth in Lombok.”

​Through this leadership transition, ITDC reaffirms its commitment to positioning The Mandalika SEZ as a world-class “sportainment” destination. The corporation aims not only to host premier international events but also to heighten the region’s investment appeal to foster sustainable economic growth for both the local community and the province.
